How Quality Console Was Created
Quality Console began as a summer project for two computer science students at the University of Akureyri. We got the opportunity to work with Samherji Fish Farming, who needed a solution to replace paper forms with digital forms in their processing facility in Sandgerði. The goal was clear – simplify daily work through smarter technology – and we built a small app that solved this.

It quickly became clear that the solution needed further development and maintenance if Samherji was to continue using it. Fjölnir decided to continue the project, and the solution grew from a simple app into a full-featured web platform for form management, data collection, and analysis.
As the idea grew, it became clear that not only more development was needed but also better ways to bring it to market. A little over a year ago, Þorsteinn joined to support sales and communication with companies. Together, we’ve continued developing the solution based on user needs, applying for grants, and strengthening our sales efforts.
