How Quality Console Started
Quality Console started as a summer project by two computer science students at the University of Akureyri. We had the opportunity to work with Samherji Fish Farming, who needed a solution to replace paper forms with digital ones at their processing facility in Sandgerði. The goal was clear – to simplify daily work using better technology – and we built a mobile app to make that possible.

After we completed the summer project, we took a short break, but it quickly became clear that the solution had more potential. Fjölnir decided to continue the project and develop it further. The solution evolved from a simple app into a full-fledged web platform where users could manage forms, collect data, and analyze it more efficiently.
As the idea grew, it became clear that the project needed not only further development but also better ways to reach potential users. About a year ago, Þorsteinn joined the team to support sales and business development. Together, we’ve continued to improve the solution based on user needs and put more energy into the project – including applying for grants and expanding our sales efforts.
